First European Messianic Jewish Conference

The Messianic movement in Europe has had a new thrust  with the first joint EUROPEAN MESSIANIC JEWISH CONFERECE.  Under the auspices of the Messianic Congregation of Holland and the support of different European Alliances, this conference took place in  DeBron Conference Center on July 10 -14.  There is a growing number of Messianic Jewish Believers and Gentile believers attending the new congregation in Holland.  Under the leadership of Leon Erwteman, the members of Beth Yeshua Messianic Synagogue of Da Houten, were able to accomplish the fabulous task of bringing together Messianic Jews from all parts of Europe.  There were people representing the European Alliances and the International Alliance.  The IMJA responded to the cordial invitation to attend by sending the President, Joel Chernoff, David Sedaca, Executive Secretary Designate and Robert Kinser, Administrative Committee member.  There were approximately 1,500 people attending the conference, some of them Jewish believers while others were Gentile Christians who have a special interest in reaching the Jews with the Gospel of Yeshua.  It was of particular interest to see representatives from the former Soviet Republics and from Israel.  The Messianic Jewish Alliance of America graciously contributed by sending the music group KOL SIMCHA.  We look forward to the possibility of establishing a formal relationship with this enthusiastic group of Messianic Jews in Holland while maintaining our ties with the Netherlands through HaDerech, the official Messianic Jewish Alliance of Holland..
